The prosecution has filed an indictment in the Haifa District Court against Zeev Dolinsky, an aide to Israeli President Rivlin, on charges of accepting bribes, extortion and tax evasion. The investigation alleges that Dolinsky accepted more than six million shekels in bribes, but no charges have been brought against the president himself.
According to the investigation, Dolinski committed the crimes while serving as Rivlin's assistant and abusing his position. He conspired with businessman Shuster, receiving bribes for assistance in promoting projects in the fields of medicine and cannabis production.
Dolinsky supported Shuster by setting up meetings and advising him on business matters. He also participated in deals involving benefits and recommendations, receiving bribes for his services.
