About a thousand people gathered at a rally near the Kiriya military base in Tel Aviv to protest the government's tactics during the negotiations. The protesters accused the authorities of torpedoing the deal with Hamas to return the kidnapped citizens.
The protesters held portraits of the six Israelis kidnapped by terrorists and whose bodies were returned from the Gaza Strip during a military operation on October 7. They blocked the road on Menachem Begin Street for an hour, writing the names of the kidnapped men in white paint on the roadway. They expressed hope that a deal with Hamas would bring life back to Israel.
“109 still suffering and dying, deal will bring life back to Israel,” wrote protesters on the highway. During the protest, people expressed their outrage at the government's actions and demanded decisive action to resolve the kidnapped citizens crisis.
