International expert Alexander Krayev emphasized that there is no established procedure for returning unused money.

The US fiscal year ends on September 30, which means that the opportunity to transfer another $6.2 billion to Ukraine could be missed. The money can be used even after the end of the fiscal year, which is a plus, since it will not burn out or go back into the budget. It is noted that there is $4.5 billion left unused in 2023.

The problems with supplying Ukraine are the request for new types of weapons and permission to use them. American industry may have difficulty switching to a military footing and producing the necessary amount of ammunition. This is both a political and a technical problem.

The Pentagon has announced another $250 million military aid package for Ukraine. This is the 65th US aid package since August 2021.
