The IDF failed to intercept the Houthi rocket because it disintegrated in mid-air.

A rocket launched by Houthis from Yemen toward Israeli territory apparently disintegrated in mid-air, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Attempts to intercept the Hetz and Iron Dome systems were unsuccessful, and fragments of the interceptor missiles fell in open areas and the Pe'atei Modi'in railway station. Firefighters are battling a fire that broke out in the Kfar Daniel area.

The Houthi shelling reportedly caused alarm in central Israel, with alarms heard from Tel Aviv to Modiin. Footage published by local media showed damage to the train station. Nine people were injured on their way to a bomb shelter due to panic, but the Home Front Command issued no special instructions to the public.
