Israel is ready to exchange the body of Yahya Snivar for hostages.

After the elimination of the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization, Yahya Snivar, his body was taken to a secret place in Israel. Jerusalem and Washington expressed cautious optimism that Sinwar's death could speed up the release of the hostages.

According to media reports, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held consultations on the future of the war in Gaza after the removal of Sinwar. The White House said that long-stalled negotiations on a truce and the release of hostages have not yet been resumed.

According to an Israeli diplomatic source, if Hamas wants to exchange the remains of Yahya Sinwar for hostages, Israel is ready to consider such a deal.

It is worth noting that if Hamas returns the remains of the group’s leader, his grave will become an object of worship.

An Israeli official warned that Sinwar's brother and eventual successor Mohammed was no less a hardliner than the slain terrorist leader. He suggested Israel could make smaller hostage deals with disparate factions of Hamas if a central leadership is not in place soon. A senior Hamas official said Sinwar's death would have a major impact on the ruling Gaza terror group, which now faces a “new phase.” Other sources said that with Sinwar gone, Hamas' decisions would now be made by leaders abroad, which could also speed up long-stalled negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage release.
