The IDF press service published a video of the interrogation of an UNRWA guard detained in Gaza by soldiers of the 162nd Brigade. The interrogated said that Hamas seized property of the UN agency, including cars marked UNRWA. The investigator asked why they needed these cars, and the prisoner replied that they were used as protection.
The guard emphasized that Hamas took all their property by force, including cars and humanitarian aid. There was no mention in the video of UNRWA's sympathy for Palestinian terror. There was also no mention of voluntary cooperation or terrorist infiltration into the organization.
The only justification for this video could be the IDF strikes on UNRWA targets in Gaza. However, journalist Amir Bukhbut sees the situation differently and believes that such Israeli actions justify outlawing UNRWA on the territory of the state. The logic of this decision is questionable, given Hamas's use of any means of attack, including Israeli weapons.
