The US and UK are bombing the Houthis in Yemen.

The US and British military carried out strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. About nine raids were carried out in Sana'a, its suburbs and Amran province. Reuters reports this.

The Pentagon confirmed that US warplanes attacked advanced Houthi weapons storage facilities in Yemen on Saturday. “Iran-linked Houthi militants are known to have been attacking international shipping near Yemen since November last year in solidarity with the Palestinians in Israel's war with Hamas,” the report said.

Retaliatory strikes were carried out by the United States and Great Britain. It has also disrupted global trade as shipowners redirect their vessels from the Red Sea and Suez Canal to longer routes around the southern tip of Africa.
