Terrorists surrendered to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to avoid arrest by Palestinian police

An interesting event occurred in Jenin: terrorists from the Hamas battalion chose to surrender to the Israeli military rather than fall into the hands of the Palestinian Authority police. Two militants walked into an IDF checkpoint in the Jordan Valley and surrendered for fear of being detained by Palestinian police.

As a result of the operation in Jenin, an officer and several terrorists were killed, and dozens of suspects were detained.

It is surprising that the terrorists themselves chose to surrender to Israeli security forces to avoid falling into the hands of their fellow terrorists.

Israel refused to hand over weapons to the Palestinian Authority to continue the operation, despite pressure from the United States. General Alevi recommended against transferring weapons to Ramallah, which displeased the Americans.
