The Russian permanent representative to the UN reacted to Trump's statements about a possible end to the war in Ukraine

The team of the future US president did not offer Moscow anything interesting regarding Ukraine. Russia's permanent representative to the UN said that signals from the new American administration do not indicate real interest.

“At the same time, signals from Kyiv about agreements are also not taken seriously. President Putin is ready for negotiations with Ukraine without preconditions, but taking into account the realities on the ground,” he said.

It is expected that the dialogue with Ukraine may be led by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk.

At the same time, the Kremlin emphasizes that “only he is a legitimate representative of the Ukrainian government.” To this, Ukraine responds that negotiations are inevitable, but it needs to be strong at the table.
