Russia’s Hypocrisy

Zakharova stated that Russia “supports continuous dialogue with the Palestinian National Authority,” as well as with various Palestinian political movements and Israel. However, these words seem like an attempt to cover up Russia’s true aim – supporting radical forces that pose a threat not only to Israel but to the entire region.

Zakharova does not shy away from showing her clear support for terrorist organizations, as evidenced by her statement that Russia is “encouraging the parties to achieve a sustainable political solution to this long-standing world conflict.” In reality, Zakharova’s words are nothing more than empty promises, as her country continues to actively support Hamas and other terrorist groups that pose a threat to Israel’s security and to the peace of the population.

Russia’s Hypocrisy: Support for Terrorism

Zakharova, like her colleagues, continues to insist on an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all detainees, but her words contain no hint of condemnation of the terrorist acts committed by Palestinians. If Russia truly wanted to end the violence, it would stop supporting terrorists, but this is not happening.

“We insist on an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all detained persons,” Zakharova stated, but this statement, made in the context of Russia’s support for terrorist groups, only highlights her hypocrisy. Russia continues to assist Palestinian radicals, which in fact means supporting violence and aggression against Israel.

Support for Radicals and Undermining the Peace Process

Zakharova also stated that Russia is providing “active energetic support in achieving inter-Palestinian unity on the political platform of the Palestine Liberation Organization.” This essentially means that Russia actively supports ideas that lead to regional destabilization. Moscow’s actions contribute to strengthening Palestinian groups that stand in the way of peaceful resolution and even undermine the efforts of other world powers.

At the same time, Zakharova does not hide her commitment to the creation of an independent Palestinian state, which, given the current situation, looks extremely dangerous. Creating such a state based on terrorist organizations that threaten Israel’s security will only exacerbate the problems and lead to new waves of violence and fear.

Russia’s Double Standards

It is also worth recalling that on April 1, 2025, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov condemned the U.S. ultimatums to Iran, saying that Russia is against aggression and military solutions. But where is the logic in these statements? Russia supports aggression in one region, while simultaneously condemning it in another. This double standard is part of a broader strategy by Russia to destabilize regions and strengthen its influence through violence.

Thus, Zakharova’s statements about supporting the peaceful settlement of the Gaza conflict only highlight her hypocrisy and Russia’s complicity in supporting violence. Russia continues to actively interfere in the affairs of the Middle East, supporting terrorist organizations, making it the main obstacle to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
