On the night of July 4, 2025, the Russian army launched a powerful strike on Kyiv. The attack lasted until 5 AM and included both drone strikes and missile bombardments. This was a continuation of the aggression that Russia has not ceased for more than 3.5 years.
The Legacy of Destruction: Kyiv Hit by Missiles and Drones
The morning of July 4 brought Kyiv scenes that resembled a sinister apocalypse: thick smoke, fires, destroyed buildings, and burned cars. The capital was engulfed by a cloud of black smoke, and several districts of the city suffered from the strikes. Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Darnytskyi, and Dniprovs’kyi districts were heavily impacted by the attack, particularly in Solomianskyi, where more than 30 apartment buildings and several educational institutions were destroyed.
The Cynicism of Russian Strikes
Russia, like a terrorist, continues its actions against the civilian population using drones and missiles. This is not just an attack on Kyiv, this is real terrorism, similar to the actions of Hamas and Iran. Without any shame, Russian forces strike residential areas, ignoring casualties among civilians.
As noted by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, these strikes are yet another example of Russia’s cynicism and cruelty. He emphasized that Ukraine continues to fight, and despite all the challenges, Kyiv will not surrender.
“We are not only fighting an army, we are fighting terrorism that knows no borders,” — Zelensky stated in his remarks.
Global Reaction and Support for Ukraine
Representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel also expressed concern that the world is not reacting to Russia’s ongoing attacks on civilians. The international community must unite and respond to actions that are akin to terrorism.
“We cannot be indifferent to Russia’s actions. This terrorism must be stopped immediately,” — said Ukrainian diplomats.
