The pilgrimage of Hasidim for Rosh Hashanah in Uman started without incidents. This was reported by the United Jewish Community of Ukraine.

According to information provided by the community, no incidents were registered in the pilgrimage zone of the Breslov Hasidim at the tomb of Tzadik Nachman. The first day of celebrating the Jewish New Year 5786 passed in a secure atmosphere, without emergencies.

Every year, thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the world come to Uman. Despite the martial law and heightened security, organizers and law enforcement agencies note that the celebration is taking place peacefully.

Number of Pilgrims

About 35,000 Breslov Hasidim have already arrived in the Cherkasy region to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. According to forecasts by the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, up to 38,000 pilgrims are expected this year. These data were published on Monday.

On September 22, 2025, at noon, a mass prayer of Tikkun HaKlali took place in the pilgrimage area, with approximately 10,000 participants.

Despite the constant threat and air raid signals, many pilgrims do not respond to the alarms and continue to remain at the celebration sites.
