The Israeli Defense Minister reported on October 1, 2025, that the army has completed the capture of the “Nitzarim axis,” a strategic line through the former Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip, which allowed the region to be divided into northern and southern parts.

Defense Minister Katz clarified that such success strengthens the siege of Gaza City. Any attempts to leave it to the south will be associated with mandatory passage through Israeli military checkpoints.

Katz noted: “This is the last chance for Gaza residents to move south and leave Hamas terrorists isolated in the city in the face of large-scale activity by the Israel Defense Forces. The rest will find themselves among the terrorists and their accomplices.”

The Israeli army is ready for any scenarios and intends to continue actions until all hostages are returned and Hamas is disarmed, which is a step towards ending the conflict.

Trump’s Peace Plan

Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump presented a peace plan for the Gaza Strip, which includes the cessation of hostilities and the removal of Hamas from power.
