A presentation of new books on Judaica took place in Ukraine.

The focus of the Lviv Book Forum 2025 was on three leading Ukrainian publishers specializing in Judaica. The meeting took place at the “Є” bookstore on October 5, 2025, bringing together key figures in the field of literature and culture.

Publishers and Their New Releases

“Dukh i Litera” from Kyiv, “Tkuma” from Dnipro, and “Books XXI” from Chernivtsi presented their latest editions. These books, published in 2024–2025, have become an important contribution to the study of Judaica in Ukraine.

Ihor Shchupak, a member of the UJE board of directors, presented a new textbook that received positive reviews for its coverage of the topic of Israel. His work has become a significant event in academic circles.

Contribution of Each Participant

Yehor Vradii from the “Tkuma” Institute in Dnipro shared the successes in publishing a new book that has already attracted the attention of researchers. Tetyana Nepipenko from “Dukh i Litera” emphasized the importance of cultural exchange through literature.

Marina Horbachuk from “Books XXI” noted the significance of translating Amos Oz’s book “A Tale of Love and Darkness,” which became possible thanks to the support of UJE.

Moderation and Atmosphere

The moderator of the meeting was Ukrainian public figure and translator Andriy Pavlyshyn. His experience and knowledge of the topic added depth to the discussion.

Among the guests was Myroslav Marynovych, a well-known human rights activist, whose presence highlighted the importance of the event for cultural dialogue.

Conclusion and Prospects

The forum became not only a platform for book presentations but also a place for exchanging ideas and plans for the future. These initiatives continue to shape Ukraine’s cultural landscape, opening new horizons for the study and understanding of Judaica.
