Ukraine and Israel have agreed to soon begin a full-fledged strategic dialogue on security issues and simultaneously deepen political interaction. This is not about symbolic consultations, but about establishing a sustainable communication channel against the backdrop of Russia’s war against Ukraine and the unstable situation in the Middle East.

The parties discussed the entire spectrum of Ukrainian-Israeli relations — from bilateral contacts to the global agenda. The focus was on the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the risks of regional escalation in the Middle East, and the coordination of actions on international platforms.

Political Signals and Assessments

It is separately noted that the Israeli side positively assessed the decision of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to recognize Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. This step was perceived as an important political signal of solidarity in countering state terrorism and hybrid threats.

Ukraine, for its part, once again called on Israel to officially join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children Illegally Taken from Occupied Territories.
