An Israeli analyst warned about the creation of a “reserve front” by the Russians, which could be very dangerous.

In Russia, new units are being created aimed at countering NATO countries. This was reported by Israeli military historian Grigory Tamar on his YouTube channel.

Creation of a Reserve Front

According to Tamar, the formation of the so-called “reserve front” is being observed. The selection of contract soldiers is carried out based on their potential, and then they are combined into powerful units. Efforts are directed at equipping these groups with modern weapons and tactical training.

The units are prepared with special attention, differing in the level of training from most military formations in the country. Tamar noted that they are armed with quality small arms and provided with qualified command.

Modern Standards of Armament

Grigory Tamar emphasized that modern standards imply not only heavy combat vehicles, such as tanks, but also the use of mobile light infantry. This became evident from recent events, both in Gaza on October 7 and during Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the Kharkiv direction.

The historian also mentioned cases from the combat environment in Syria, where drone support and force mobility were successfully applied.

Use of Mobile Groups

Tamar added that such mobile groups could become a serious threat. They are capable of delivering quick strikes, capturing poorly guarded positions. This model could be employed against the Baltic countries.

Resources and Experience of Application

According to the expert, the drones used in such operations will significantly outnumber the existing forces. The situation of recent conflicts in Europe has shown that resources for effectively countering such an approach are lacking.
