This is not about an emotional outburst or a series of random incidents. A deliberate ideological offensive against the Jewish community is unfolding worldwide. This is stated by Israeli journalist and international observer Eldad Beck in an interview published on December 21, 2025.

According to him, what is happening is unprecedented since the end of the Holocaust. The geography is vast: Australia, Canada, the USA, Western European countries. Synagogues are attacked, Jewish schools and community centers become targets, people are beaten on the streets for wearing a kippah or a Magen David. Safe territories no longer exist.

The world, which recently seemed neutral, is becoming openly hostile.

Anti-Semitism today is not a set of isolated crimes. It is a process. Systematic, consistent, repetitive. Its goal, according to Beck, is simple and extremely cynical: to push Jews out of the public space.

Jews are increasingly being advised “not to provoke”: not to pray publicly, not to wear religious symbols, not to emphasize identity, not to live “too noticeably.” After October 7, the level of aggression sharply increased, but the roots of the problem are much deeper. Waves of anti-Semitism have been rising since the early 2020s, each time hiding behind a new crisis — the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the conflict in Gaza. These events are used as an excuse, but are never the cause.

Even periods of relative calm in Gaza do not stop the hatred.

On the contrary, attacks on Jews continue precisely when military actions subside. This is a key marker. It shows: the source of aggression is not war, but ideology. Hatred does not need a trigger — it only seeks justification.

Anti-Semitism has ceased to be a reaction to specific events and has turned into a stable pattern of behavior.

And it is not only about Jews.

According to Beck’s observation, the blow is directed more broadly — at the cultural foundation of the West. Churches are closing, Christian symbols are being destroyed, Christmas markets are being canceled “for security reasons.” This is no longer a local problem of minorities, but the dismantling of the very idea of an open society.

He calls what is happening an Islamist offensive on the West, reinforced by the weakness of political elites. Concessions, covered by the rhetoric of “mutual understanding,” do not reduce tension. They only confirm that pressure works.

Against this background, many Israelis are considering emigration.

Berlin, Paris, London, New York — cities that recently seemed like a refuge. According to Beck, this is a dangerous illusion.
“No one is waiting for Jews outside of Israel. Nowhere,” he says.

A toxic alliance is forming in Western countries: ultra-right anti-Semites and radical Islamists converge in one thing — hatred of Jews and Israel. The hope to “blend into the crowd,” hide identity, wait it out — is self-deception. The conflict will still surface.

Why did a significant part of Israeli society not see this picture for a long time?

Beck explains this by a perception gap. Religious and Orthodox Jews face anti-Semitism directly — daily. Secular society often considers it a relic of the past, a shadow of the Holocaust, something historical and fading.

This is a mistake. Modern anti-Semitism is not tied to borders, territories, or political decisions. It does not disappear after acknowledgments, concessions, or compromises. The recognition of a Palestinian state has never served as protection for Jews — and history has repeatedly confirmed this.

Beck’s conclusion is harsh and direct: the problem is not in Israel. The problem is in the very fact of the existence of Jews in the eyes of their opponents.

Today, Israel remains the only real answer to this threat.
Military protection.
Political entity.
Historical anchor of memory and responsibility.

Escape and denial do not work. Only strengthening the state works — in the field of security, economy, and foreign policy. And this understanding becomes key in a world where illusions end. This reality is recorded and explained by NAnews — News of Israel | Nikk.Agency.
