Interior Minister Igor Klimenko confirmed that three wounded were rescued from under the rubble, but rescue operations are still ongoing, and further losses are possible.

An analysis of the situation shows that strikes were carried out on more than twenty targets, including residential areas. The methods of attack used ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as “Shahed” drones. Air raid sirens in Kyiv sounded twice: at three in the morning and again at half-past five in the morning.

These events unfolded after a month of relative calm in August, when U.S. President Donald Trump attempted to resolve the conflict through negotiations with Russian President Putin in Alaska, but his efforts were unsuccessful.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that this attack indicates Russia’s unwillingness to seek diplomatic solutions. On social media, he noted that “Russian missiles and drones are a clear response to calls for a ceasefire and real dialogue. Russia chooses ballistic warfare over peaceful negotiations.”

Zelensky once again called on the international community to take action, emphasizing the need for additional sanctions. He also expected a response from China, which has repeatedly advocated for ending the conflict and de-escalating the situation.
