The award ceremony took place on December 11, 2025
On December 11, 2025, in Dnipro, Jewish volunteers received awards from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi. The ceremony took place in a synagogue and was timed to coincide with Volunteer Day.
According to the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine (FJCU), the awards “For Assistance to the Army” were presented to active members of the Dnipro Jewish community Mykhailo Pinkus and Stanislav Kropyvskyi.

The awards on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were presented by the head of the Jewish communities of Ukraine, Rabbi Meir Stambler, and FJCU military chaplain Yakov Sinyakov.
The official wording notes that Pinkus and Kropyvskyi were awarded for their significant contribution to assisting Ukrainian military personnel and for their long-term volunteer activities, which have become an integral part of the life of Jewish communities in Ukraine since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Support for the army from Jewish communities continues
On the same day, December 11, 2025, the military chaplain of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine and the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the AFU Yakov Sinyakov visited the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade, which is carrying out combat missions in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
During the visit, humanitarian aid was delivered to Ukrainian military personnel, as well as pocket books of “Tehillim” in Ukrainian, provided by the FJCU.
Chaplaincy and volunteer work as part of the overall struggle
During the interaction with the military personnel, the chaplain provided spiritual and psychological support and expressed gratitude to the defenders for their resilience and daily service.
