National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has taken a tough stance on a possible ceasefire in Lebanon. He stressed that if a temporary ceasefire agreement is signed, his Otzma Yehudit party will drop its coalition obligations. Ben-Gvir argues that it is necessary to strike until the enemy is defeated in order to ensure the safety of its citizens and achieve a complete victory.
The Otzma Yehudit faction informed the Prime Minister of its position: in the event of a temporary truce with Hezbollah, they will abandon their coalition obligations and all actions related to them. The politicians advocate for the protection of the residents of the north and are ready to take decisive measures to avoid endangering them. Every day that the truce is in effect will mean ignoring Otzma Yehudit's coalition obligations.
Itamar Ben-Gvir also stressed that if the temporary ceasefire leads to a permanent agreement at the mercy of Hezbollah, all ministers and MKs from his party will leave the government and the coalition. Politicians are ready to take decisive steps to ensure the safety of Israeli citizens and continue the fight until complete victory.
