US President Joe Biden believes that there is now an opportunity to resolve the conflict between Israel and Iran. He said he knows what response Jerusalem is preparing for Tehran after the massive rocket attack on October 1. Biden is confident that this response will help temporarily end the standoff.

Biden said he and his colleagues believe it is possible to achieve a temporary end to the conflict between Israel and Iran. “Put an end to the conflict, stop mutual shelling,” the president said. He also added that some details of the expected response to the Iranian attack remain confidential.

These statements were made by Biden in Berlin before heading back to the US. He mentioned a telephone conversation with the Israeli Prime Minister and expressed confidence in the possibility of ending hostilities in Lebanon. However, the president admitted that the situation in the Gaza Strip is much more complicated, despite the liquidation of the head of the Hamas Politburo.
