Biden spoke with Macron after the strike on Ukraine by a new Russian missile

President of the United States of America Joe Biden had a telephone conversation with the French leader Emmanuel Macron.

Politicians discussed a number of global and bilateral issues, including a full-scale war in Ukraine, the White House said.

They also discussed another escalation between Israel and Lebanon.

“They discussed developments in Ukraine as well as the Middle East, including efforts to secure a ceasefire in Lebanon that would allow residents on both sides of the Blue Line to return safely to their homes,” the statement said.

Russia attacked Ukraine on November 21, using a ballistic missile presumably from the Kedr missile system.

Its flight time from launch in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation to hitting the Dnieper was 15 minutes.

The missile was equipped with six warheads. Each of them was equipped with six submunitions. The speed at the final part of the trajectory was more than 11 machs.
