On Friday, October 25, 2024, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with his Jordanian and Emirati counterparts, as well as the interim Prime Minister of Lebanon in London. This was announced by a representative of the US State Department, citing CNN, European Pravda reports. Blinken's conversations with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his United Arab Emirates counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan are said to focus on efforts to bring stability, security and reconstruction to Gaza after the war.

The US diplomat's UK stop is the latest expected stop on a trip that includes visits to Israel, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The main purpose of the trip is to promote efforts to free the hostages and achieve a truce in Gaza after the assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. During a trip to Israel, Blinken said the country's response to the Oct. 1 missile attack on Iran “should not lead” to greater escalation.

It will be mentioned that the White House “does not hope” for a quick resumption of negotiations on a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
