Due to intense attacks in southern Lebanon, the Israeli army has tightened security in the north of the country. Residents of the city of Safed have been advised to stay close to shelters and limit their movements. The attacks were in response to shelling by Hezbollah.

Shiite terrorists attacked several Israeli towns, damaging homes and power lines. A woman in the rapid response team was seriously injured in the incident.
