The Assad regime is supported by Russia and Iran. Those who attacked Aleppo and succeeded are not Turkey's puppets. In addition, when carrying out attacks, they took into account Erdogan's relations with Russia and Iran.

“In recent years, Erdogan has accepted that the Assad regime has survived. He even tried to get closer to him. However, with a successful rebel offensive, it is possible that Erdogan will change his mind and return to his previous approaches,” said David Sharp.

Erdogan and the Arab countries face an important question: whether to help the rebels or not. The Turkish President has many unanswered questions. He fears that in case of failure, millions of Syrians could cross into his territory, but on the other hand, he has already become accustomed to the Assad regime.

“The development of the situation in Syria will depend on Erdogan’s actions. There are also other “players” on the field – the USA, Israel, the Kurds. Therefore, the whole situation is far from simple and very significant,” emphasized a military expert from Israel.
