Fatah and Hamas have agreed to govern the Gaza Strip, Sky News Arabia reports.

In the Palestinian Authority, representatives of Fatah and the terrorist group Hamas agreed to create a committee to govern the Gaza Strip. According to Sky News Arabia, the decision was made on October 8, 2024 during consultations in Cairo.

The committee will be affiliated with the Palestinian Authority and will consist of 10-15 people who do not belong to Palestinian factions. The new body is financed from international organizations and the budget of the Palestinian government.

He will be responsible for managing border crossings, as well as the areas of health, education and social development. The committee will also monitor humanitarian assistance to residents of the sector.
