The United States of America wants to prevent major losses and insists on de-escalating the conflict.

Former US intelligence official Jonathan Panikoff said that if Israel decides to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, the latter will view it as a direct invasion. Panikoff warned that such a move by Israel would lead to an escalation of the conflict and worsen the situation in the Middle East.

Some Israeli officials have proposed targeting Iran's oil fields, raising concerns in the United States. Former Pentagon official Dana Straul stressed that the United States supports Israel's right to self-defense, but is committed to reducing tensions in the conflict.

“The administration continues to push for de-escalation and the prevention of potential all-out regional wars that could result in high civilian casualties,” she said.
