Hamas claims it has 'enough strength to continue fighting against Israel'

Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan said the group, despite losses in the more than 11 months of the Gaza war, has sufficient resources to continue fighting Israel. According to The Times of Israel, he stressed that although there were casualties, the group “managed to accumulate experience and attract new generations to the resistance.”

Hamdan noted that Hamas seeks to establish “joint Palestinian rule” in Gaza after the war ends, and stressed that the United States is not putting enough pressure on Israel to make compromises that will help end the conflict.

Noting today's Houthi rocket attack on central Israel, Hamdan said the incident showed “the limitations of Israel's defense capabilities.” He argued that Israel is not immune to such attacks and that resistance against the country poses a serious threat.
