After midnight, world news agencies reported the terrible consequences of IDF strikes on a multi-story building in Beit Lahiya. According to various sources, at least 73 Palestinians were killed, including women and children, and many were injured. Doctors also noted damage to neighboring houses.
Hamas announced that the death toll had risen to 80 and the wounded to 100. Residents of other areas fled to the western part of the city, hoping for safety, but were met with a terrible massacre. The Hamas press service called what was happening “a war of genocide and ethnic cleansing.”
The IDF said it was conducting an investigation and denied the figures presented by Hamas, calling them exaggerated. Military operations continue, but the Israeli army seeks to minimize collateral losses and urges the media to be careful with information disseminated by Hamas.
