Hezbollah fires 180 rockets into northern Israel on October 19, 2024

Since the beginning of the day on October 19, 2024, the Hezbollah group has fired about 180 rockets into northern Israel. The shelling of northern Israel intensified throughout the day. Nahariya, Akko, the northern suburbs of Haifa, and Tiberias were shelled at different times in the morning. A Hezbollah drone attempted to attack the Prime Minister's residence, but the target was not achieved.

Haifa, Tirat Carmel, Yokneam Illit, Megiddo, Krayot, Nahariya, Shlomi, Rosh Hanikra, Safed, Meron, Biriya – all these and other settlements became targets of shelling. The attack killed a man in Acre and injured 14 others. Kiryat Ata was also hit by rocket attacks, with a building and a car damaged.

Hezbollah announced a transition to a new phase of escalation of the confrontation after the liquidation of the Hamas leader. The group announced an increase in attacks on Israeli troops and Israeli territory.
