Hezbollah leader regrets destruction of Syrian air force and blames Israel

The head of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, expressed his thoughts on the situation in Syria after the fall of the Assad regime. He said that Israel, with the support of the United States, destroyed the combat capabilities of the Syrian army in order to protect its interests.

“We hope that the new Syrian government will see Israel as an enemy and will not establish normal relations with the Zionist regime,” Qassem said.

He also reported the loss of arms supply lines through Syria and the intention of the resistance forces to find new ways to restore Iranian arms supplies.

The head of Hezbollah stressed that he does not believe in the possible influence of events in Syria on the situation in Lebanon. He stressed that the group will continue to fight for its interests in the region.
