Hezbollah militants planned an invasion of northern Israel

On October 1, 2024, at a briefing for journalists, an IDF spokesman showed a military map of Hezbollah, which the group was preparing for an invasion of northern Israel. It was discovered during raids on southern Lebanon carried out by Israeli special forces prior to the operation. The map was planned to be used by terrorists as part of the “Conquest of Galilee” plan.

The map shows Israeli settlements, IDF military bases and targets for attack. Special forces found the card in a complex intended for terrorists. The briefing also revealed covert operations against Hezbollah that thwarted the group's invasion plans. Hagari stressed that the war is not with the people of Lebanon, but with terrorists.
