At the age of 88, Roman Schwartzman surviving the Holocaust Odessa performed in the Bundestag of Germanywhere he spent historical parallels between the crimes of the Nazis during the Second World War and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Schwarzman recalled that the duty of current generations is to prevent new disasters and the protection of civilians from violence.
“Today we must do everything possible again to put an end to barbarism”– he emphasized, turning to German parliamentarians.
Schwarzman survived the Holocaust, being at the age of 5 in the Bershad ghetto (Vinnitsa region). He noted that after 80 years, fear, hunger and suffering in the Nazi camp still remembered.
Germany will not forget its responsibility
After the speech of the novel by Schwarzman, the Bundestag deputies applauded standing standing. Germany President Frank-Walter Steinmeier expressed gratitude to the speaker for his arrival and emphasized that the support of Ukraine from Germany would continue.
