In Tel Aviv, families of Israeli hostages expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's handling of the swap deal. They believe Netanyahu is doing everything he can to ensure the deal does not go through. The families said the new terms proposed by the prime minister are derailing the deal, arguing that they could lead to further military escalation.

The mother of one of the hostages, Einav Tsangauker, stressed that Netanyahu is “systematically torpedoing the deal” and appealed to US President Joe Biden to put pressure on the talks to make progress. She also called for the truth about the prime minister’s true motives to be revealed and for him not to be allowed to sabotage the deal. The woman noted that 323 days have passed since the kidnapping of their loved ones and that they still believe in their rescue.
