The Population and Migration Authority has published statistics on the most popular names for newborns in Israel for 2024. The list of names for boys is led by Muhammad, Yosef and Adam, while among girls the first place is taken by the name Avigal, followed by Miriam and Tamar. Interestingly, the name Muhammad is popular not only among Arab boys, but also among the Jewish population.

Other Hebrew names popular in Israel include Ariel, David and Lavi for boys, and Avigal, Tamar and Yael for girls. In Germany, children are most often named Noah and Emily, and in France, Jules, Gabriel, Jade and Emma have become popular names. In the UK, Muhammad was the most popular name for boys, with Olivia leading the way for girls.
