US authorities are investigating the leak of confidential documents about the preparation of an Israeli strike on Iran. According to the source who provided the information to the AP, these documents are most likely genuine.

The documents contain information obtained from the NSA and the Geospatial Intelligence Agency about Israeli air force preparations to strike targets in Iran. The US Union shares this information with the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

It is not clear from the published materials what specific targets are being attacked and when it might take place. Israel is preparing a counterattack after the October 1 rocket attack, in which Iran fired 181 rockets into Israeli territory. The shelling killed a Palestinian Arab and caused property damage.
