Israel begins production of ammunition.

The Defense Ministry has signed a NIS 1.5 billion contract with Elbit to establish a production line for ammunition and weapons. The goal is to rebuild Israel's military-industrial complex and produce resources independently. This strategic move is aimed at ensuring the smooth development of the Israeli Armed Forces.

Retired Major General Eyal Zamir stressed the need to invest in infrastructure and expand production. He is confident that every shekel invested will return to the economy and create jobs, as well as help increase defense exports. Since the early 1990s, Israel has been in the process of reforming its army and defense industry due to pressure from the American defense industry.

Under President Obama, Israel has realized its dependence on American arms supplies, prompting the country to rethink its strategy. Long-awaited independence in military production will avoid such problems in the future and provide the country with its own ammunition.
