Israel destroyed Syria's navy

On the evening of December 9, the Israeli navy attacked the Syrian navy and destroyed it. This was announced by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz during a visit to the naval base in Haifa. Earlier, information appeared that Syrian warships in the port of Latakia were damaged after an attack by Israeli forces.

The minister said that Israeli troops are strengthening the buffer zone between Syria and the Golan Heights. He also called for the creation of a sterile defense zone in southern Syria without the permanent presence of Israeli forces to protect against threats to Israel.

According to media reports, on December 9, the Israeli military attacked more than 250 targets in Syria, including the provinces of Hama and Homs, as well as the port of Latakia, where Russian military bases are located. As a result of attacks on the port of Latakia, warships of the Bashar al-Assad regime were damaged.
