In Israel, it was announced that the Secretary-General of the United Nations had been designated as an undesirable person due to his position in the conflict in the Middle East. Israel accused the Secretary General of supporting “terrorism” and defending “Palestinian aggression.”
It is reported that the Israeli Prime Minister, during a speech at a government meeting, stated that the participation of the Secretary General in peace negotiations was inadmissible. He also called on the UN to reconsider its policies and continue to work to resolve the conflict in the Middle East.
The Israeli authorities emphasized that supporting the idea of returning to a truce with Palestine within the framework of UN Security Council resolution “1621” is incompatible with the position of the UN Secretary General.
