On October 6, 2025, an event occurred in Kyiv that is difficult to call merely technical — it was an act of solidarity and human involvement.
The Ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, solemnly opened a new water purification system installed at the Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital.
The modern installation was provided by the Embassy of Israel and the international cooperation agency MASHAV — an organization that has been implementing humanitarian and medical aid projects in Ukraine for many years.
Water that brings life back
The system will ensure a continuous supply of clean drinking water for patients and medical staff.
For a hospital where lives are saved every day, this is not just an engineering upgrade — it is a guarantee of safety, stability, and trust.
According to Michael Brodsky, the project became part of a long-term program of Israeli support for Ukrainian medicine:
“Clean water is not a luxury, but the foundation of life. We are pleased to contribute to the health and resilience of Ukrainian society.”
MASHAV: technology with a human face
The agency MASHAV, operating under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, has been working with Ukraine since the early days of the war.
Programs include medical training, equipment supplies, training Ukrainian specialists in rehabilitation and crisis assistance methods.
The director of the Kyiv Regional Hospital, who recently returned from a MASHAV course in Israel, noted:
“This project is an example of how training and experience exchange turn into real changes. We feel that we are not alone.”
Israeli assistance: step by step
This is not Israel’s first project in the Ukrainian medical sector.
Previously, as part of the cooperation, water purification systems were installed in hospitals in Chernihiv and Dnipro, equipment was supplied to hospitals in Kharkiv, and Ukrainian doctors received training in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

A symbol of partnership
This installation is not just filters and pipes. It is a gesture of support that speaks more than any political statements.
When Israel helps Ukraine ensure clean water, it helps preserve life, health, and hope.
And in a world where simple things become a luxury, such actions acquire special strength.
