Israeli Prime Minister travels to US on eve of war with Hezbollah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has traveled to the United States after some delays due to tensions on the border with Lebanon.

There he plans to attend a meeting of the UN General Assembly and possibly meet with American officials.

Against this backdrop, it became known that the United States and France proposed a 21-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in order to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701 on the withdrawal of armed groups from southern Lebanon and UN Security Council Resolution 2735 on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli officials would prefer a diplomatic solution, but they believe it is necessary to eliminate the threat from Hezbollah. The north of Israel is now relatively calm, unlike in previous days.
