Deputy leader of Hezbollah Naim Qassem announced from an underground bunker that the fight against Israel will continue in support of Gaza. He called October 7 an action of resistance and predicted a worsening situation for Israel due to the long war.
According to Hezbollah, the United States is behind crimes against the Palestinians, and Iran will support resistance to the occupation. At the same time, they expressed support for negotiations on a ceasefire in southern Lebanon. Kassem believes that war exhausts the enemy and leads to mass migration of the population.
Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Naim Qassem spoke after a ten-day silence, emphasizing that the organization remains active and does not intend to give up, despite the loss of leaders. His speech marked the anniversary of the Oct. 7 attack known as the Al-Aqsa Flood, which he said marks the beginning of change in the region.
Kasem's main points:
- Despite the deaths of important figures, Hezbollah continues to fight. Qassem noted that they are inspired by the strength of their late leader.
- He argues that they are not intimidated by pressure from Israel and the West, and that without American support, Israeli aggression would cease.
- Qassem called the resistance in Gaza legendary and invincible, emphasizing that Israel's goal is to destroy the Palestinian people.
- Lebanon is also a target, and Qassem has said Netanyahu is seeking a new Middle East where Israel controls the region.
- He noted that the Lebanese support front is wearing out Israeli enemies, and Hezbollah fighters continue to strike Israelis, especially in the northern territories.
- Qassem also mentioned that Amal and Hezbollah are united and support the ceasefire initiative promoted by Nabih Berri.
Qassem stressed that Hezbollah is ready for a long fight, promising Israel serious losses that could lead to the end of the war.
