If the government falls, Netanyahu, now out of power, will face lengthy trials on charges of fraud, breach of trust and corruption as an ordinary citizen. He may also face prison time. Many Israelis believe that Netanyahu makes decisions based on personal rather than national interests, which breeds mistrust.
