Political peace in the north has been exhausted – Galant

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant held a conversation with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin. They discussed measures to free the hostages and the commitment to return residents of northern villages to Israel. Galant said that the political path in the north of the country has been exhausted, Hezbollah is closely linked to Hamas, and it is necessary to push them away from the borders of Israel.

The minister also stressed the importance of combating the Houthi threat. He noted that Israel has already demonstrated its ability to act against terrorist groups seeking to harm it. Israel and the United States discussed a common strategy to counter threats in the Middle East in order to ensure stability in the region and security for their citizens.
