Russian propagandists have spread information about an alleged rally in support of Palestine in the center of Kyiv.

Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation reported on August 2, 2024 that The information spread on social networks about a pro-Palestinian rally in the center of Kyiv is a fake created by the Russian side.

Russian propaganda claimed that the protest on Sophia Square was in response to the assassination of Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. They used video recordingwhich, as Ukrainian experts have found out, was made back in 2021 at another pro-Palestinian rally organized by pro-Russian structures.
