On January 3, 2025, a large protest took place in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, in which thousands of people took part. Local media reported that the protesters were opposing Prime Minister Robert Fico's foreign policy, expressing concerns about the country's direction and possible Russian influence.

About four thousand protesters held posters from artist Rudolf Sikora with the words “treason” and “we are Europe.” Protesters also held the flags of Slovakia and the European Union, sang the EU anthem and emphasized the importance of the country's European orientation. One of the organizers, Vera Dubacheva, declared: “We are Europe too,” causing a standing ovation among those present.

Artist Rudolf Sikora called on public organizations to unite with opposition politicians, emphasizing that this is necessary to fight evil. Lucia Stassel expressed her reluctance to fall under Russian political influence, noting that they are not Russia's doormat. The organizers of the action expressed concerns about the Prime Minister’s policies, which put the country at risk of the Kremlin’s influence.
