On the evening of September 25, relatives of the kidnapped Hamas hostages protested outside the Likud party headquarters in Netanya. They demanded that the release of the hostages be put back on the agenda. During the protest, the father of one of the kidnapped girls addressed ministers, and right-wing activists threw eggs at the demonstrators.
The video of the kidnapped girls from the Nahal Oz base shows them facing a wall with their hands behind their backs, being threatened by terrorists. One of the militants says that the hostages are “Zionists.” They are then put in a car, and one of the girls is naked from the waist down, indicating that she may have been wounded.
Despite opposition from several ministers, the video of the kidnapping was released. One of the ministers, who had served in the IDF for a short time, opposed the deal with Hamas in the government. The outrage and demands from relatives continue, thus bringing the issue of the kidnapped hostages to the forefront.
