As soon as it became known about the liquidation of the leader of the terrorist organization Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, the Kremlin immediately came to the defense of terrorists, choosing a strange strategy: not to condemn terrorism, but to criticize Israel and NATO. All this showed that the Russian government once again took the side not on the side of the fight against terrorism, but on the side of those who unleash it.

Who else, if not Maria Zakharova, should be entrusted with the next “masterpiece” statement? This time, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry accused NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte of… cannibalism! Here's her shocking passage:

Is Peskov a defender of terrorists or a “humanitarian” hypocrite?
The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, who, naturally, could not directly condemn the terrorists, is not far behind. Instead, he declared “significant concern” about the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon:
“The main thing for us is the consequences for the civilian population that we observe.”
When you hear such words from the mouth of a representative of a country that is destroying the cities of Ukraine and spreading terror throughout the world, you just want to grin. Russia, which kills civilians with its missiles, suddenly cares about the humanitarian consequences in the Middle East? This is simply a cynical lie and an attempt to hide behind “false” humanitarian rhetoric, which, as always, has nothing to do with real concern for people.
Hamas appoints new leader: who is Khaled Meshal?
After the elimination of Yahya Sinwar, Hamas did not waste any time. Lebanese TV channel LBCI reported that Khaled Meshal, a figure long known for his bloody activities, has become the new head of the terrorist organization. But here again the question arises: does Hamas really have no other personnel?
“Don't call Khaled Mashaal the 'new' leader of Hamas. He already headed the organization earlier, before Ismail Haniyya, and his appointment is only a necessary measure. They simply don’t have any others left,” sources say.
Mashal will now be responsible for negotiations with mediators, including Turkey, Qatar and Egypt. However, according to experts, his days as the leader of Hamas are numbered – sooner or later he will suffer the same fate as Sinwara.

Over the years, Russia has demonstrated its sympathy for terrorist groups in the Middle East. The Kremlin is actively negotiating with Hamas leaders and providing them with diplomatic support. The appointment of Khaled Mashaal as head of Hamas is just the latest episode in the long history of Russian ties to terrorists.

In 2015, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with Mashaal in Doha, which even then signaled support for the terrorist organization. This meeting confirms that Russia is ready to make contacts with terrorists for the sake of its geopolitical interests.
“Do you know who Lavrov greeted so friendly? It was Khaled Mashal. And it was Mashaal who today, after the destruction of Sinwar, led Hamas,” analysts note.
