In the Russian Z-comic for children Pigletthat same cute little pig (little pig) from the tales of Alan Milne, suddenly becomes… a Muslim! Yes, yes, not just a Muslim, and a piglet who performs namaz right in the trenches somewhere in the war in Ukraine.

As they say, nothing strengthens the “interethnic trench brotherhood” more than according to Z-propaganda, as a “Muslim pig” performing a sacred ritual of Islam.

.......

Another “creative” work from Russian z-propagandists in comics for children appeared on the Internet on September 12, 2024.

The heroes of these comics are famous “Soviet” characters from books and cartoons – Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Owl. Owl in this work of Russian propaganda is a general.

The comic book heroes “fight enemies and protect their home from being taken away by the enemy.” The characters have Russian flags on their clothes.

According to the plot, the pig tells Winnie the Pooh that he needs to pray before fighting enemies. And Piglet begins to pray to Allah and performs Namaz.

And this, as you understand, is right in the line of fire, where he is covered by the “Russian bear” Winnie the Pooh!

I wonder if their “brothers” from Iran, Hamas or Hezbollah saw this farce?

Piglet is a pig, and it’s hard to argue with that, especially in the context of his role in propaganda. As a pig, the character inevitably represents everything that Muslims traditionally consider unclean and forbidden. A pig, according to the Koran, is an animal that is not only forbidden to eat, but also to associate with anything pure or righteous. And so, Russian propaganda takes this Piglet and turns him into a devout Muslim performing namaz.

This is a real masterpiece of ingenuity of Russian propagandists. In Russia they have always been able to “wrap up”, but here they have surpassed themselves. How can you not laugh: a pig is an animal that Muslims have long considered unclean, prays to Allah! Apparently, the creative people in the Kremlin were urgently forced to “pray to everything that comes to hand.”

.......

By the way, it becomes even more interesting if you pay attention to the other characters of the comic. Winnie-the-Pooh, for example, Piglet's faithful friend, not only turns out to be a warrior, but also holds the front, covering the praying “Muslim pig”. The owl in the comic becomes a general, which looks like another attempt to fit old, well-known characters into a new context, but through primitive cliches about “great protection from enemies”.

Our heroes' rivals in this strange war are bees, who, of course, wear the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Yes, you got it right: the bees, symbolizing the Ukrainians, are attacking, and Winnie the Pooh and Piglet are defenders of the “peace” from these bees. The picture is grotesque and at the same time symbolically strange. Russian propaganda takes its idea of “trench brotherhood” to the point of absurdity by depicting a Muslim as a pig, which insults the very idea of brotherhood.

This level of mockery, even if disguised through a children's comic book, is difficult to explain from the point of view of rational propaganda. It looks more like a provocation aimed not only at ridiculing the enemy, but also at its own allies – Muslim countries such as Iran or allied groups such as Hamas.

These comics are certainly worthy of an award for “best satire”. After all, what could be funnier than a pig praying to Allah under the cover of a bear with a Russian flag on his chest?
