From September 8 to September 12, 2024 A delegation of six leading women leaders and online opinion experts from Ukraine and Moldova visited Israel, writes Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
The author did not disclose who these female leaders were.
The visit was organized at the invitation of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main goal of the delegation was to learn how Israel is dealing with the consequences of the war and the terrorist attacks committed by Hamas on October 7, as well as to express solidarity with Israel and support efforts to free the kidnapped hostages.
During the visit, the delegates received briefings from senior Israeli Foreign Ministry officials, visited the Yad Vashem memorial complex, and visited holy sites in Jerusalem. Particular attention was paid to trips to southern Israel, where the delegation visited Kibbutz Kfar Aza, the city of Sderot, and the site of the Nova Music Festival massacre. The delegates also met with the families of the abductees and learned about Hamas crimes.
During the trip to the north of the country, the delegation listened to a briefing by experts from the Alma Center about the situation on the northern front and visited the Druze village of Yanuh Jat, where they met with the family of a soldier who died defending Israel. The women also visited the Levinstein Hospital, where Ukrainian soldiers were undergoing rehabilitation, and learned about the treatment of Israeli soldiers injured in the current war.
In addition, the participants met with Israeli women holding key positions in various fields, who shared their experiences of overcoming the consequences of the October 7 terrorist attacks and spoke about the mood in Israeli society.
